Based in the United Arab Emirates, he serves as Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Petroleum, one of the region’s oldest privately held oil and gas companies, and holds senior leadership roles across private enterprise, public markets, and global advisory institutions.
As CEO of Crescent Petroleum, Majid Jafar oversees strategic direction, governance, and long-term investment across complex operating environments. The company’s focus on upstream natural gas development has played a meaningful role in supporting regional electricity generation and economic stability, particularly in Iraq. Under his leadership, Crescent Petroleum has reinforced its commitment to operational integrity, sustainability, and responsible energy production.
Alongside his executive responsibilities, Majid Jafar serves as Vice-Chairman of the Crescent Group serving ports, logistics, food and beverages, healthcare, life sciences and business aviation, private equity and venture capital sectors, and as Managing Director and board member of Dana Gas, a publicly listed natural gas company operating across the Middle East and North Africa.
